THE 11TH EDITION OF THE pollux award
The Photography Gala Awards, with the sponsorship of the Biennial of Fine Art & Documentary Photography invites professional and amateur photographers worldwide to submit images to Eleventh Edition of The Pollux Award.
This Award is open to photographers working in all mediums, styles and schools of thought. Traditional, contemporary, avant-garde, creative and experimental works that include old and new processes, mixed techniques, and challenging personal, emotional or political statements will be welcome.

DATES:
Deadline: January 29, 2018.
Jurors’ announcement: February 20, 2018.
ENTRY FEES: Early Bird 50% discount until November 26, 2017
Single Images:
$25 for the first 3 images (the minimum of images to submit is 3). $50 after November 26.
$5 each additional image. $10 after November 26.
Series:
$30 for 1 series of 3 to 5 images. $60 after November 26.
$7 each additional series. $14 after November 26.
An image or series can be submitted to more than one category, counting as an additional image or series without discount.
All submission can be only done online using the Registration Form embedded below.
AWARDS:
The winner of the 11th Pollux Award will receive a cash prize of $3,000.
The winner and finalists selected by the Jurors, will be invited to exhibit in the Biennial of Fine Art & Documentary Photography to be held in Q3 2018.
SELECTION FOR EXHIBITION:
Submitters should be able to send high resolution files (330 dpi) if their work is selected, to be printed and framed for the exhibition. The Gala Awards will charge the exhibitors the setup, printing and framing cost, except to the Winner, whose setup, printing and framing costs will be borne by The Gala Awards.
COPYRIGHT:
All submitters warrant that they own the work submitted and that they have the exclusive copyright. The Gala Awards recognizes that the author retain full ownership of the image copyright.
USAGE:
Submitters warrant that their photographs may be reproduced for the purpose of marketing and promoting The Gala Awards’ competitions and Awards, as well as in catalogues, posters, postcards, publications, and on the Internet. Such use is granted for no more than two years after the announcement of the works selected in this competition. Such use is granted without any payment to the photographer or featured models. Photographers will receive credit with each use, and allow The Gala Awards to sublicense their photographs to the press for reproduction in connection with The Gala Awards’ competitions and awards.
The Gala Awards has the right to reject and remove any entry that contains defamatory, racist, obscene or pornographic content, or that may be considered a criminal offence or violate any law.
